Ministries

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (ASV)                                    -Matthew 7:7

May you find what you seek behind the doors of our church.

What is AWANA?

Approved workmen are not ashamed - 2 Timothy 2:15 is the inspiration behind the program.

AWANA begins with Cubbies for small children, Sparks for K - 2, and then Truth in Training for grades 3 - 6.

AWANA will help your children to learn a lot of scripture and increase their knowledge of Jesus.

Room in the Inn: This is a winter ministry shared by several churches in the area.  Homeless people in town are taken into church one night per week at different churches.  They are fed, have places to shower, and spend the night on cots to get a good night’s sleep in a warm place.  There is need for donations of food for dinner and breakfast the next morning. As they leave, they are given a packed lunch.  We also need volunteers to spend the night at the church as well.

There is a sign up sheet on the kiosk in the lobby.  You can sign up for a partial night, or for the entire night if you are able.  Also individual meal sign up is available as well.

Manna Cafe is a local ministry that helps to feed the hungry in the area.  They feed local people on Tuesdays, Thursdays - evening meals, and Saturday for breakfast.   We have as a church sponsored one of the monthly feeds.  On the first Tuesday of each month, those who have signed up to participate will meet at 5:30 pm at the ReStore Habitat for Humanity location downtown on Madison Street.

Monthly sign up sheets will be available so that we can rotate volunteers to serve.

Please join us help the hungry in our local area and be blessed in the process as well.  Every day that God provides our daily bread, we must remember that someone else is starving.  For more information - contact Darrell Peeler.

Hunters for the Hungry is composed of men who like to hunt deer, but who harvest more than they can use personally. If you have fresh killed deer to donate, please contact Don Norfleet at 931-358-9060.  We are blessed to have experienced deer hunters who help process the fresh kill brought to us.

Road kill and gut shot meat is not accepted.

If you have a need for meat, please contact the church office at
931-358-9695 with your request.
